About

My name is Brandon Stanley

I have an Associate's in Systems Administration and Networking. As a part of this degree, I took courses relating to the CompTIA Network +, A+, Security +, Linux + certifications. I also completed coursework for the CCNA and AWS Solutions Architect certifications. On the Server end, I was educated in Windows Server 2012, Intranet and Internet Server, and Advanced Database. I passed both CCNA 1 and 2 with merit. My GPA was 3.7, and this is the second time in my academic career that I attained Phi Theta Kappa honors.

By age 20 I had already completed CCNA coursework and Computer Science training. By the time I obtained my first real tech job, I had already programmed Visual Basic front end to an Autolisp program.

When working for Kforce, on assignment at both the Abilene State Supported Living Center and Texas DFPS, I imaged and deployed PCs, migrated data, and supported users as part of a help-desk team. I have dealt with demanding customers by exceeding expectations and empathizing with their frustrations, while collectively working toward a solution.

As a Linux Systems Analyst, I supported dozens of servers daily. I also built them, and produced proprietary designs, such as tape back-up systems. Using Dell OpenManage I configured and maintained RAID arrays. Using system logs in Linux, I diagnosed and remotely resolved issues. I edited and deployed system files, as well as manually patching systems. I also updated and maintained wiki pages for the purposes of technical documentation, building the company documentation from dated sources into a readable and usable format for the entire team.

I am trained in routing and switching. I have experience with PC troubleshooting and smartphones, including hardware for both. During my internship with Abilene Independent School District, I diagnosed problems with Dell units and replaced components if possible. I am familiar with AWS and other cloud services.
